What If Rod Was One Of Us? (Parody Music Video)

If Rod had an alt who spent a lot of time
Inside of Second Life just hanging out
In clubs and chatting with his friends
Would he still think the same or see things different

And yeah, yeah, Rod is great
And yeah, yea, Rod is good
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

What if Rod was one of us
An AV like one of us
Just some pixelated dust
Living in a Linden home

If Rod had an alt what would it look like
If he lived anonymously
Would he ditch the toga for some fashionista
And be correct anatomically

And yeah, yeah, Rod is great
And yeah, yea, Rod is good
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

What if Rod was one of us
An AV like one of us
Just some pixelated dust
Living in a Linden home

Living in a Linden home?
Or in one of Wizzy's domes
He could look like Sharon Stone
And go to Zindra and get boned

The lyrics are great, but the video is freaking amazing. I love the movie, you used it well.

Every Linden should be required to have a non-Linden alt and have to spend a minimum of 1 hour per day inworld, as part of their job description.

I ran into Tommy Linden the other day. He was having fun.

Thanks Soror. I thought you'd like the juxtaposition of the literal narrative in the lyrics with the symbolic visual story.

Wizzy: Maybe "Home for Wayward Lindens"?

Whiskey: Thanks. It was fun compressing an hour plus of storyline into four minutes. I think you're on to something about the mandatory SL time, except maybe for employees who don't impact customers, like HR, etc.

Ha ha ha! Masterful and entertaining! Well Done Botgirl!

Also this is very though provoking. As I think if the leaders of SL were required to set up non linden avatars and come inworld to some degree as part of their job duties, they would be able to easily see the problems that we complain about that never seem to be addressed.

I would love to have them have some knowledge of other viewers. Of random crashes, or trying to search for something.

I would also love for them to find a reason to WANT to come in and hang out.

That would change everything.......

great job.
You know he's not, though, right?

And many Lindens do have alts and spend significant time iw exploring and learning. Perhaps I should use the past tense in that sentence as I'm mostly referring to folks who've left (or ehmm, were laid off). There are still a fair number.

It's certainly possible that a bunch of Lindens are leading full and active alt virtual lives. In Second Life, no one knows if your alt is a Linden.

Lol, lovely to see brilliant parodies are still doing the round. I hope his hair at least improved compared to Philip? ;)

I have been told, on good authority by FIC no less, that many Lindens have alts to socialize and do fun things in SL, and that I personally know Linden Alts.

So they're around, you just don't know it.
