"Pseudonymity" - A 100 Word Story

"I'm not going to tell you," she said, rolling over to grab a cigarette from the pack on the nightstand.

Still breathing hard, he paused, trying to etch every detail of her body indelibly into memory. "I know we agreed this was a one night thing, but Jesus, I've got to see you again."

She sighed, rolled out of bed and walked naked into the bathroom.

As soon as he heard the shower running, he rifled through her clothes looking for identification. Nothing.

As he drove away later that morning she smiled seeing that the tracking device was working perfectly.

Psycho bitch! That guy's car needs a major MRI to knock that thing out. Of course it'll kill the car too.....

Jones sat back and lit another cigarette. His scanner was pinging; the client was definitely being tracked.

He sent an encrypted message to the client to pull off into the Faraday garage for barnacle scraping. They could reverse-engineer the tracker and piggyback in to the target’s monitoring system. From there it would be a simple crack to get to the juicy data inside.

“Monkey see, monkey do,” breathed Jones through a cloud of smoke. The bugs the client had planted throughout the house were registering nicely. Soon Miss Anonymous would become Miss Somebody and the real fun would start.
