New comic on identity & immersion
This two-pager began as an idea to show the many links between the virtual and physical worlds. The message was to be that any sense of a significant separation between them is pretty much an illusion. I completely changed my tune over the course of putting this together. I'll let it speak for itself today. Special thanks to Sophrosyne for trusting me enough to pose without knowing exactly how the images were going to be used.

Fascinating project. I think the majority of our mental/narrative/emotional model of the world is below the level of consciousness and that conflicts are rarely limited to the overt controversy. That's why I prefer to try to stick to basic concepts. I'm going to expand on that idea in the next post. Thanks for all our contributions here!

The value that I see in digital worlds is twofold - in providing those of us within them with a space to *do better,* to liberate ourselves from the dead grasp of past injustices and limitations - and in providing an example, an existence proof, back to the atomic world, to show that better, freer, fairer, happier lives and communities truly are possible.
You've captured that so well with your images. I'm in awe, and thank you for allowing me to be part of the process.
